The R45V Marauder Super Single Set is Reika's heavy-duty super single wheel — the second evolution of our van-specific super single platform, engineered to replace the factory dual rear wheel (DRW) setup on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 519 (Australian model designation) and Sprinter 3500 (US model designation). Compatible with both the current VS30 (907) chassis and earlier NCV3 (906) chassis.

Built on the aggressive, old-school Marauder aesthetic with a wider -120 offset for a planted, purposeful stance, the R45V runs Reika's highest load rating at 2,109 kg per wheel — giving a combined rear axle wheel capacity of 4,218 kg. That's well above the Sprinter 519's factory rear axle mass limit of 3,500–3,600 kg, purpose-built for maximum payload motorhomes, expedition rigs, campervan conversions and commercial builds running at the top of their GVM.

Dual-valve rear wheels for factory TPMS compatibility, knurled bead seats for tyre security, full compatibility with factory Sprinter brake systems and the Rotora Big Brake Kit.

Not compatible with 3-series (311/315/317/319) or 4-series (411/415/417/419) Sprinter variants — they use a different bolt pattern. Not listed? Contact us to confirm fitment before ordering.

  • 2 × Front wheels
  • 2 × Dual-valve rear wheels (TPMS compatible)
  • 1 × Universal spare wheel (emergency use — not for permanent fitment)
  • 24 × M14×1.5 spline lug bolts
  • 1 × Spline key
  • Hub-centric rings (application specific)

Centre caps included for front wheels only. Caps are not compatible with rear super single wheels. 21mm or 22mm thin-wall socket recommended for installation.

Fitting the R45V Marauder to a Sprinter 519 converts the factory dual rear wheel (DRW) configuration to single rear wheel (SRW). Under Australian regulations — including VSB 14 (National Code of Practice for Light Vehicle Construction and Modification) — this is classified as a vehicle modification and requires engineering certification by a licensed signatory engineer in every Australian state and territory.

What the engineering process covers. The process is handled by the licensed workshop or engineer fitting your wheels — not by Reika Wheels Australia. Typical requirements include:

  • Inspection and sign-off by a state-licensed vehicle engineering signatory
  • Updated tyre placard reflecting the new wheel, tyre, offset and load rating
  • Modification plate attached to the vehicle (most states)
  • Speedometer recalibration/recoding where rolling diameter changes affect ADR 18 compliance
  • TPMS sensor compatibility confirmation (dual-valve rear wheels accept the factory Sprinter sensor)

Engineering authority by state / territory:

NSW Transport for NSW VSCCS scheme
VIC VicRoads VASS signatory
QLD TMR Approved Person (AP) scheme — modification plate required
WA DoT Authorised Vehicle Examiner
SA DIT accredited signatory
TAS Transport Services Tasmania
ACT Access Canberra (NSW VSCCS certificates generally accepted)
NT MVR modification sign-off

Mercedes-Benz Australia warranty. Fitting aftermarket wheels does not void your full Mercedes-Benz new vehicle warranty under Australian Consumer Law, but Mercedes-Benz is entitled to decline warranty claims on components directly affected by the modification (wheel bearings, hubs, axle, ABS/ESP, TPMS and related systems). Warranty on the Reika wheels themselves is covered by Reika's 3-year structural warranty.

Reika Wheels Australia supplies wheels only. We do not perform fitment, modification work, or vehicle engineering certification. Fitment, compliance and registration of any vehicle modification remains the responsibility of the vehicle owner and their chosen licensed workshop and engineer. Need a signatory engineer? Contact us and we can refer you to engineers in your state familiar with the Sprinter 519 super single conversion.

Will this fit my Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 519?

Yes — this set fits all Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 519 variants (the AU model code, equivalent to the US Sprinter 3500), including MWB, LWB and ELWB at 4.49t and 5.0t GVM, both RWD and 4x4 (A4M). Compatible with the current VS30 (907) chassis from 2019 onwards and the earlier NCV3 (906) chassis from 2006–2018. It will not fit the 3-series (311/315/317/319) or 4-series (411/415/417/419) Sprinter — those use a different 6×130 bolt pattern.

Do I need engineering certification to fit these in Australia?

Yes. Converting from factory dual rear wheel (DRW) to single rear wheel (SRW) is classified as a vehicle modification under VSB 14 and requires engineering certification by a licensed signatory engineer in every Australian state and territory. See the Compliance section for state-by-state authority details.

Will fitting these void my Mercedes-Benz warranty?

Not your full warranty. Under Australian Consumer Law, Mercedes-Benz cannot void your entire new vehicle warranty because of an aftermarket modification. However, Mercedes-Benz is entitled to decline warranty claims on components directly affected by the conversion — wheel bearings, hubs, rear axle, ABS/ESP sensors and TPMS. Warranty on the Reika wheels themselves is covered by Reika's 3-year structural warranty.

Are the wheels TPMS compatible?

Yes. The rear wheels feature a dual-valve design specifically to accommodate the factory Sprinter TPMS sensor. Front and spare wheels also accept TPMS sensors. Your fitter will transfer your existing sensors or source compatible replacements.

What's the difference between the R35V Rambler and R45V Marauder?

Both fit the Sprinter 519. The R35V Rambler is our original design with 1,995 kg per wheel load rating and -110 offset — ideal for most touring, motorhome and overland builds. The R45V Marauder has a higher 2,109 kg per wheel load rating and wider -120 offset — built for maximum payload builds running at the top of their GVM. The two wheels have different aesthetics; pick based on load requirement and visual preference.

Does the conversion affect my speedometer?

Possibly. If the new tyre rolling diameter differs from factory beyond ADR 18 tolerance, your Sprinter will need speedometer recoding via XENTRY (the Mercedes diagnostic system) at a qualified workshop. Your fitter and engineer will determine this during certification.

All Reika wheels are covered by a 3-year structural warranty against manufacturing defects. Finish warranty is 1 year under normal use and care.

Warranty does not cover damage caused by improper fitment, accidents, kerb impact, misuse, or off-road damage. Wheels must be fitted by a qualified tyre fitter.

To make a warranty claim, contact us with your proof of purchase and photos of the defect.
